Plywood and Multilayer – Laser Cutting Service

Plywood and multilayer

Practicality

Plywood and laminated panels differ in the orientation of the grain of the individual layers of wood: parallel for laminated panels (for similar strength to solid wood in the direction of the grain and good shrinkage and swelling properties) and perpendicular or random for plywood (with a loss of strength but a more stable shape). The overlapping of the different wood panels is however always symmetrical in order to limit/avoid deformations such as buckling. The layers are joined by specific glues and adhesives.

Cutting these materials requires precision and a particularly sharp blade, otherwise the most superficial layers of plywood or multilayer will be chipped.

That’s why laser cutting is the ideal solution for obtaining panels with perfect profiles and without fraying. With galvanometric laser heads, it is possible to achieve millesimal precision in the details; curves, rounded or sharp corners are realised quickly and all with the same simplicity.
Laser engraving and marking are also particularly practical and cost-effective. The CO2 laser is in fact one of the easiest ways to put your signature or distinctive mark on any panel, without compromising the structure and deforming the essence.

Thanks to a large work surface and 3 laser heads, we can achieve surfaces of 500 mm x 1500 mm in a single operation. We can make small and large samples up to full production.
